Odyssey as a forefront player in the cybersecurity realm, is looking for a Technical Writer that will be responsible for creating, managing and updating technical documentation for our products and services. This role requires an individual with a strong technical background, excellent writing skills and the ability to communicate complex information clearly and effectively in order to bridge the gap between complex cybersecurity technologies and their users. The ideal candidate will have experience in technical writing within our industry and be skilled in documentation tools and methodologies.
- Collaborating closely with our tech gurus—product managers, engineers, and cybersecurity experts—to ensure the technical veracity and comprehensive nature of your documents.
- Lead the development and maintenance of technical documentation, including user manuals, installation guides, API documentation, and help resources.
- Conduct comprehensive documentation reviews and revisions, maintaining high quality and accuracy.
- Implement and adhere to documentation standards and best practices.
- Analyse and incorporate user feedback to improve documentation usability.
- Compiling release notes for our homegrown products
- Your knack for detail and relentless pursuit of clarity will see you continuously revising and refining content, ensuring our documentation evolves alongside our products
- Continuously reviews and updates all technical documentation (services/product description, methodologies, installation guides)
- Bachelor’s degree in Technical Communication, English, Journalism, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in technical writing, preferably with a spotlight on cybersecurity or IT.
- You're an autonomous worker but also thrive in a team, appreciating the value of collaboration and feedback.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Exceptional writing, editing, and communication skills.
- Ability to understand complex technical concepts and explain them in simple terms.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Willingness to continuously improve and adapt to new technologies and documentation tools.
