Odyssey announced its recent participation as a Silver sponsor at the prestigious CyberGreece Summit, an event dedicated to the exploration of A.I. and Cyber Security Challenges. The event took place on October 11, 2023, at the Athens Marriott Hotel.

The CyberGreece Summit united diverse professionals from the cybersecurity sector, government officials from the Ministry of Digital Governance, academics, industry experts and thought leaders from Greece and around the world. It served as a vital platform for discussions revolving around the most pressing challenges and emerging trends within the cybersecurity landscape.

The Minister, Mr. Dimitris Papastergiou, among other things, said, “We are actively preparing, as the Ministry of Digital Governance, the draft law for the new “Cybersecurity Regulatory Authority”. This vital regulatory framework will enable us to respond promptly and effectively to the evolving landscape of cybersecurity, as mandated by the NIS 2 Directive. We anticipate presenting this draft law to the Parliament in the near future.”

Apostolos Pandroulas, General Manager, Odyssey Greece in a panel discussion entitled “From Strategy to Resilience: Mastering the Cybersecurity Chessboard.” highlighted that the war against cybercrime requires “togetherness.” He advocated for the creation of a Think Tank to foster collaboration between the public and private sectors, in order to join forces and provide innovative and effective solutions for the cybersecurity challenges of today and tomorrow, and to protect themselves, their families, their businesses, and our social existence as we know it.
