Odyssey hosted a successful Round Table event on Wednesday, 29th May, at the INSET Conference Room, Map Boutique Hotel in Cyprus. The event focused on the evolution of Managed Services, crucial for transforming how organizations manage their infrastructure, maintenance, and security operations to support their strategic goals.

Attendees had the opportunity to discuss the importance of Managed Services in today’s business landscape and to learn how Odyssey Managed Services enhance efficiency and security, complementing or supplementing the skills and knowledge needed to maximize the effectiveness and cost efficiency of business operations and overall resilience. Real-world examples and engaging discussion provided valuable insights into the practical application of these services.

The presentation began with Mr. Stelios Charalambous, Advisory Services Manager, stressing the critical need for businesses to address cyber threats. “A Managed Services approach functions much like an architect, expertly blending all elements to ensure seamless operations, resilience, and stability.” The presentation explored the evolution of managed services, highlighting their role as a remote extension of organizations, ultimately delivering peace of mind.

Following Mr. Andreas Constantinides, Managed Services Director, who provided a deep dive into Odyssey Managed Services and offered insights into Odyssey’s Security Operations services, he emphasized the importance of historical analysis and future prediction to craft targeted responses to cyber threats.
Moreover, he highlighted that the Odyssey Technology Resilience service line is instrumental in enhancing an organization’s ability to anticipate and plan for potential operational service disruptions. “These services empower organizations to respond effectively to disruptions but also to anticipate, withstand, recover from, and adapt to cyber threats and attacks, ensuring robust resilience in the face of evolving security challenges.”

The highlight of the event was a customer experience discussion led by Mr. Marinos Mangafas Software Manager at Zorbas Bakeries. He shared insights into the collaboration with Odyssey, discussing the challenges his organization faced, how they were addressed, and how this collaboration has evolved, contributing to their cyber resilience journey. “The Zorbas Bakeries group’s relationship with Odyssey is more than 20 years old, and this in itself is an important element in our cooperation. Odyssey serves as our strategic partner for securing and real-time monitoring of our network.”
