The 8th Infocom Security Conference 2018 was concluded on Thursday 19th April with great success at Dais Conference Center in Athens.

Odyssey, which participated in the event with its own stand, was for yet another year the Grand Sponsor of the EthiHak Contest 2018, within the scope of the conference. The contest aimed at giving ethical hackers the opportunity to test their skills in information systems’ security against real live targets.

During its dynamic and impactful presence in the conference, top Odyssey members illustrated contemporary themes in cybersecurity.

Mr. Angelos Printezis, with his presentation, explained how Odyssey’s MSS and MDR services can, through ClearSkies™ Big Data Security Analytics Platform, help organizations improve their detection and response capability against targeted attacks and breaches, as well as accelerate their compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) before its enforcement.

Dr. Pantelis Georgiades expanded on the theme of ‘Detecting suspicious/malicious activity using Security Analytics’, illustrating how in practice Security Analytics and Machine Learning may proactively help in timely cyber-threat detection.

Moreover, Odyssey’s workshop titled ‘Detecting Threats Using Security Analytics’ was also an astounding success, during which Ms. Polina Antoniou demonstrated the role and value of User & Entity Behavior Analytics (UEBA) which includes behavioral and predictive machine learning, as one of the advanced technological capabilities and functionalities of ClearSkies™ NG SIEM-as-a-Service and ClearSkies™ NG Endpoint Agent.

The Infocom Security Conference ended this year yet again with the award ceremony for the Ethical Ηacking contest, sponsored by Odyssey. Mr. Printezis as a representative of the company awarded the sum of €1000 to the winner.
