For the third consecutive year, Odyssey successfully participated at the 6th Infocom Security Conference as a gold sponsor and also as the exclusive sponsor of the ETHIHAK contest, held on the 6th and 7th of April 2016, in Athens.

The Infocom Security Conference has been established as the leading annual event in regards to information security in Greece and is a reference point for evolving developments in the field of scientific and technological community of the IT sector.

The innovative contest, ETHIHAK, aiming to evaluate the level of information security and communication on the Internet, offered (for the first time in Greece) the opportunity to more than 100 contestants to practice their skills, live, via simulations of cyber – attacks. At the end of the contest, a representative of Odyssey awarded the first winner with 1000 euros, offering him in parallel a career position in IthacaLabs, Odyssey’s team of Research and Vulnerability Assessment.

Odyssey Cyber Security had a dynamic presence on both days of the conference by conducting two presentations titled “Emerging Cyber Threats & How to Combat them” and “ClearSkies: Re-defining SIEM with Big Data Security Analytics”. The latter was of great interest since it demonstrated the potential of the company’s innovative platform which has been awarded with the Data Impact Award, back in 2015. In parallel, Odyssey delivered a workshop titled “How to Share and Manage Securely Sensitive Documents within your Organization”.

The conference was open to the public. Visitors who came across Odyssey’s stand had the opportunity to share their concerns on information security issues with the company’s experts and learn about the innovative solutions and Information Security Services that Odyssey has developed and offers.
