BACKEND DEVELOPER (AI-AUGMENTED)
Are you someone who thrives in the face of challenges?
Do you have a collaborative spirit, passion for innovation and a commitment to making the world a cyber safer place for all?
If so, join OUR Odyssey and make it your journey as well, because the beauty and reward lie in the journey and not the destination itself.
As a Backend Software Developer, you will analyze, develop, and implement the core functionality of new features — coming up with innovative, efficient solutions and overcoming any challenges along the way. You’ll do this in an AI-augmented engineering environment, where you’re expected to pair with modern AI coding tools to accelerate delivery while keeping a sharp, security-first eye on everything that ships.
- Analysing functionality requirements, designing, developing, and implementing software solutions
- Leveraging AI coding assistants (such as Claude Code and GitHub Copilot) to prototype, build, and ship features faster — while rigorously reviewing, testing, and securing all AI-generated code
- Writing clear prompts and providing the right context to get high-quality, reliable output from AI pair-programming tools
- Helping the team mature its AI-assisted development practices — sharing patterns, guardrails, and lessons learned
- Interacting with other developers, architects, researchers and analysts to achieve the best possible result
- Investigating and diagnosing issues, suggesting and implementing solutions
- Identifying and pointing out issues across the stack as early as possible in the development cycle and assisting in overcoming them
- Remaining abreast of technology trends and developments, especially in the fast-moving AI tooling space
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Equivalent work experience will also be considered. Bachelor in Computer Science or other related field: minimum requirement
- Master equivalent: optional
- Relevant certifications and trainings: optional
- 5+ years work experience in a similar position
- Hands-on experience with .NET/C#
- Practical experience using AI coding assistants (e.g., Claude Code, GitHub Copilot) as part of a real development workflow — and good judgement about when to trust, verify, or rewrite their output
- Hands-on experience with C++ development will be considered an advantage
- Experience in relational databases (MSSQL or similar)
- Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming principles
- Solid understanding of API development and integration
Experience with any of the below will be considered an advantage:
- Building, evaluating, or integrating AI/LLM-powered features (APIs, agents, retrieval, prompt engineering)
- Entity Framework
- Parallel programming
- Big Data
- .NET 6+
- Dependency Injection
- Linux Systems
- Familiarity with JIRA and Git (or other similar tools)
Soft Skills:
- Passion for learning, embracing challenges and innovation
- Curiosity and adaptability — you enjoy experimenting with new tools and workflows and figuring out how to get the best out of them
- Analytical mindset and problem-solving skills
- A critical eye — you don’t take AI-generated output at face value; you verify, test, and secure it
- Team-player with a positive mindset, strong focus and work ethic
- Competitive remuneration package (according to experience and qualifications)
- Opportunity to work in a highly specialized, progressive and professional setting
- Hybrid and contemporary working environment, “Best Place to Work” for 4 consecutive years
- Performance based awards and bonus
- Access to the latest technologies
- Mentoring, training & development opportunities
