ROLE DESCRIPTION
We are looking for an experienced Senior Network & Security Engineer with deep technical expertise and proven experience in the Fortinet portfolio. The ideal candidate will take on the design, implementation, optimization, and security of complex network infrastructures (Data Centers, Enterprise Campuses, Cloud/Hybrid environments), utilizing advanced Fortinet solutions.
The position reports to the Manager of Hybrid Integrated Solutions (GR) and requires a professional with an ability to work in a dynamic environment as part of a team of highly focused engineers and consultants.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design and implement network and security architectures using FortiGate NGFW (high availability, SD-WAN, BGP/OSPF routing, IPsec/SSL VPN).
- Manage and troubleshoot advanced security services (FortiAnalyzer, FortiManager, FortiSIEM, FortiClient EMS).
- Implement Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA) and Secure Access Service Edge (FortiSASE) solutions.
- Conduct Security Audits, firmware upgrades, and performance tuning on critical infrastructures.
KNOWLEGDE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Professional Experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a Network & Security Engineer role within enterprise environments
- Experience working in business-critical infrastructures
- Ability to perform effectively under pressure and during incident response situations
Technical Expertise
Strong understanding of:
- TCP/IP
- BGP
- OSPF
- VLANs
- VXLAN
- IPsec VPNs
Proven hands-on experience with the Fortinet portfolio
Certifications
Advanced Fortinet certifications are highly desirable, including:
- FCSS (Fortinet Certified Solution Specialist) in Network Security and/or Public Cloud Security
- FCX (Fortinet Certified Expert)
Additional specialised certifications will be considered a strong advantage, including:
- FortiGate Security
- FortiGate Infrastructure
- SD-WAN
- Public Cloud
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
