ROLE DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a Cybersecurity Engineer to join our team and support the delivery, operation, and continuous improvement of cybersecurity services for our infrastructure and our managed customers.
The role focuses on the deployment, administration, monitoring, and support of cloud, network, systems and cybersecurity technologies in-house and across managed customer environments. You will work with internal teams, vendors, and customers to help ensure that security solutions are reliable, properly maintained, and aligned with operational and security requirements.
This position is suitable for someone with a solid technical foundation, a strong interest in cybersecurity, and the willingness to develop further in areas such as firewalling, switching, endpoint security, vulnerability management, patch management, privileged access management and cloud platforms.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Infrastructure Management
- Deploy, configure, and maintain core IT infrastructure.
- Manage network and security systems to ensure reliable operations.
Technical Support & Troubleshooting
- Diagnose and resolve issues related to security systems, network connectivity, user access, and security policies.
- Investigate and respond to technical incidents.
Customer Support
- Respond to customer requests, alerts, and support tickets.
- Provide technical guidance and solutions under the supervision of senior team members.
Security Administration
- Assist in deploying and managing security technologies, including:
- Firewalls
- Endpoint security solutions
- Email security platforms
- Cloud security and cloud platforms
Team Collaboration
- Work with cross-functional teams to support service delivery.
- Contribute to maintaining operational efficiency and service quality.
Process Improvement & Compliance
- Support continuous improvement of internal processes.
- Ensure adherence to organizational security standards and compliance requirements
KNOWLEGDE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
- Master's degree in an IT-related field is considered an advantage.
Experience
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in cybersecurity, networking, or technical support.
Technical Knowledge
- Strong understanding of:
- Firewall technologies
- Networking fundamentals
- Security controls
- Familiarity with:
- Endpoint security
- Patch management
- Vulnerability management
- Identity and access management (IAM)
Technical Skills
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities in complex technical environments.
Communication Skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong documentation skills.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Nice to Have
The following will be considered an advantage, but are not mandatory:
- Hands-on experience with firewall technologies such as Check Point, Fortinet FortiGate, Cisco, or similar platforms.
- Experience with incident, change, or configuration management processes.
- Basic experience with troubleshooting network or security issues.
- Experience working in customer environments or managed services.
While not mandatory, the following certifications will be considered an advantage:
- CompTIA Security+ – Foundational security knowledge
- Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) – Networking fundamentals
- Check Point CCSA
- Fortinet certifications
- Any other technical certifications will be considered as an advantage
