As an Infrastructure & Security Engineer, you will be responsible for planning, deploying, and operating key infrastructure and security services for our customers. This role involves hands-on work to ensure that core systems are secure, reliable, and meet operational and compliance requirements.
You will collaborate with colleagues, internal teams, and Odyssey’s wider organization to deliver and maintain services for the managed customers. Your focus will be on delivering reliable, efficient, and secure infrastructure operations, while continuously contributing to process and service improvements across multiple environments.
- Deploy, configure, and maintain core infrastructure and security systems
- Support the operation and visibility of key service areas such as asset management, endpoint security, and access controls
- Implement and manage controls for privileged access and network segmentation.
- Monitor system performance and security posture across managed environments
- Maintain accurate documentation, procedures, and configuration records
- Collaborate with other teams to support service delivery and operational excellence
- Contribute to internal process improvements and ensure compliance with security standards
Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field
- Master’s degree in an IT related field will be considered an advantage
Skills & Competencies
- 2+ years of experience in infrastructure, systems administration, or IT security operations
- Strong understanding of operating systems (Windows and/or Linux), networking fundamentals, and security controls
- Experience with monitoring tools, asset inventories, patch deployment, or access control platforms
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in complex environments
- Familiarity with enterprise IT environments and structured operations processes (e.g., change, incident, and configuration management
- Practical knowledge of system hardening, endpoint security, and configuration baseline
- Understanding of network segmentation, firewall policies, and basic routing/switchin
- Excellent communication and documentation skills, with the ability to convey technical topics clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Nice-to-Have
The following certifications will be considered an advantage:
- CompTIA Security+ – Foundational security knowledge
- Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) – Networking fundamentals
- CompTIA Server+ or Linux+ – Systems and server administration
- Any other technical certifications will be considered as an advantage
