The 9th Infocom Security Conference 2019, themed “Cybersecurity in the Age of Industry 4.0: Challenges and Opportunities”, concluded with great success on Thursday 18th of April 2019, at the Dais Conference Center in Athens.

Odyssey, for yet another year, participated with its own kiosk, and was the Grand Sponsor of the EthiHak Competition 2019, within the scope of the conference. The competition gave ethical hackers the opportunity to test their skills by detecting weaknesses in systems and IT infrastructure, and the winners will represent Greece at the European Cyber Security Challenge in Bucharest in October 2019.

As part of its dynamic and impactful presence in the conference, top Odyssey members expanded on contemporary topics in cybersecurity.

Mrs. Irene Selia, ClearSkies™ Business Development Manager, gave an insight on the evolution of Odyssey’s ClearSkies™ Big Data Advanced Security Analytics Platform, showcasing how the need for visibility has been translated into an innovative platform, and how that platform was developed over the past years to accommodate customer needs.

Moreover, Odyssey’s R&D Assistant Manager Ms. Polina Antoniou presented the workshop titled “Threat Anticipation”, which expanded on the importance of ClearSkies™ Threat Intelligence and its applications. Ms. Antoniou demonstrated how to conduct Threat Hunting through Threat Anticipation, as well as how User & Entity Behavior Analysis (UEBA) can enhance forensics in the context of individual organizational circumstances, thus allowing for personalized proactive measures against relevant threats.

During the Conference’s closing ceremony, Mr. Apostolos Pandroulas, Odyssey’s General Manager in Greece, awarded the sum of €1000 to the grand winner of the EthiHak Competition.
