Odyssey announced its recent participation as a Silver sponsor at Cyber Greece Conference2024, an event held on October 21, 2024, at the Grand Hyatt Athens.
The conference, themed Redefining Cyber Resilience, brought together cybersecurity professionals, government officials, academics, and industry leaders to explore the evolving challenges in the digital landscape and discuss strategies to enhance cyber resilience.
The Cyber Greece 2024 summit provided a vital platform to address some of the most pressing issues in cybersecurity today. Participants highlighted the urgent need for both public and private sectors to adapt their policies, regulatory frameworks, and best practices to combat emerging digital threats. Discussions covered topics ranging from the rapid evolution of the cyber environment to the importance of risk management and the role of both international and national interventions in building cyber resilience for the future.
As a Silver sponsor, Odyssey played an active role in the event’s discussions. Apostolos Pandroulas, General Manager of Odyssey Greece, joined the panel titled “Cyber Regulations: Will the Private Sector Stand the Challenges?” where he addressed the implications of the new NIS2 regulation. Pandroulas underscored the vital need for companies to prioritize cybersecurity investments, focusing on the three critical pillars: People, Processes, and Technology. He stressed that not only businesses but also governments, associations, and cybersecurity firms have a collective responsibility to raise awareness and educate organizations on the importance of cybersecurity practices. Through collaborative efforts, these entities can help businesses better strengthening their cybersecurity measures, improving risk management, and enforcing faster incident response.
